About Lil’ Shop of Spores
Welcome to Lil’ Shop of Spores, your source for quality mushroom spores, isolated spore samples, and microscopy products representing varieties from around the world.
Lil’ Shop has been part of the mushroom spore community for a long time, and through all the changes over the years, one thing has remained the same: provide clean, dependable samples, an interesting selection, and real customer service.
Our Mission
Our mission is simple: to help preserve, study, and share the incredible genetic diversity found throughout the mushroom kingdom.
Spores offer a microscopic look into one of the most fascinating forms of life on Earth. Whether you are an experienced collector or just beginning to explore mycology, we want Lil’ Shop of Spores to be a trusted resource for quality samples, information, and education.
Why Lil’ Shop of Spores?
Quality You Can See
Every spore sample is prepared with microscopy and research in mind. We take cleanliness seriously and stand behind our products with our Clean Spore Guarantee .
Our goal is simple: when your sample reaches the microscope, you should be able to clearly observe the spores you ordered.
A Wide and Ever-Changing Selection
Our online catalog includes classic Psilocybe cubensis varieties along with rare, unusual, and geographically distinct mushroom spore samples from around the world.
We regularly rotate strains, introduce new genetics, and bring back old favorites, so there is almost always something different to explore.
Small Shop, Personal Service
Lil’ Shop of Spores has changed a lot over the years. At different points we grew into a larger operation with a full crew, and at other times we intentionally scaled things back.
Today, Lil’ Shop is once again a small, hands-on operation. That means the person answering your email, preparing orders, updating the catalog, working on new projects, and keeping things moving is often the same person.
We may not be the biggest operation in the industry, but that has never really been the goal. The focus is on quality, consistency, interesting genetics, and taking care of the people who choose to shop here.
More Than a Spore Shop
Mycology reaches far beyond the microscope.
Through Lil’ Shop of Spores and our educational project Spore Theory, we explore mushroom science, fungal ecology, microscopy, genetics, emerging research, and the strange and fascinating role fungi play throughout the natural world.
There is always more to learn.
From a single spore, an entire network can begin.
Customer Support
Lil’ Shop of Spores is not a faceless marketplace. If you have a question about an order, product, payment, shipping, or finding a particular sample, reach out.
We believe good customer service should still mean communicating with an actual person.
